2015 Georgia Children's Book Award Winners

This year's Georgia Children's Picture Book Winner is Ol' Clip Clop, by Patricia McKissack.

My students loved the very spooky Ol' Clip Clop! Although it received many votes, our school winner is Z Is for Moose, written by Kelly Bingham.

For the first time ever, my students selected the same book that won the Georgia Children's Book Award! This book is Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25 by Richard Paul Evans. This is the first book in a series, and now my students are captivated. There is a waiting list for the second book in the series.

 

Our students get so excited about the Georgia Children's Book Award nominees. I love listening to their conversations about the books and how they share recommendations for their favorites.
